Chapters and Charms is now one year old! Today, I look back at what I have accomplished so far and look ahead to where I hope to take the blog in the future.
I’ve published over 50 blog posts and brought my previously very private spirituality out into the open to share with my friends and family, as well as other witches. I’ve successfully diversified the types of books I read, and shared my discoveries and insights. Here are some of my top performing posts of 2018:
- Wiccan Holidays and the Wheel of the Year
- Setting Up a Witch’s Altar
- Chapters and Charms Is Doing Bloggiesta Again: Spring 2018
- My Path to Witchcraft
- Diverse Reads of 2017
- Can I Be a Jewitch? Judaism’s Compatibility With Witchcraft and Wicca
- Kabbalah Cards: An Alternative to Tarot
I only recently discovered that my auto-posts to Twitter have not included any hashtags, which explains why I haven’t gotten any traffic that way. In 2019, I aim to be more active and interactive on my blog’s social media, including retweeting each post with the relevant hashtags.
I also noticed that my posts regarding blending witchcraft and Judaism have gotten some of the most attention. This is a niche that not a lot of people have written about (although I’m finding it to be more common that you would think), and I’m happy to continue to explore this area in future posts.
My focus this year will be to build up my readership and to create a community.
Is there anything you would like to see me write about in the coming year? Any suggestions you have for my blog? Let me know in the comments, and help me make my blog even better!
